The Barclays Premier League title was on the line. After 90 minutes of play, it seemed that because Manchester United won their game against Sunderland, Manchester City would lose the title they had within grasp only minutes before. Fans even left the stadium because they could not handle the disappointment of losing another title, especially by a goal differential advantage to Man U.
As stoppage time began, the score was 2-1 QPR. In the 92nd minute, Edin Dzeko leveled the game for City, and breathed much needed life into his teammates and fans. What came next was the unthinkable! In the 95th minute, a late game one-two between Mario Baloteli and Sergio Aguero led to Aguero streaking into the box with defencemen all around him. After a failed challenge, Aguero shook off the defender and fired the ball past the falling goalkeeper and to the back of the net! Man City won their first title in 44 years, passing their closest rival by the thinnest of margins in one of the greatest Premier League finishes in history.
