National Championship Poster, College Football 2015-16 (Alabama vs. Clemson)

This national championship game was one for the ages. The teams from Tuscaloosa and Clemson had been ranked #2 and #1 in the polls since early November.  The top ranked team was led by their dual pass-run threat, a superb QB who had finished 3rd in the Heisman Trophy voting. The #2 team was playing for its 4th national championship in 7 years, boasting the nation’s second stingiest defense, and the Heisman winner. This poster diagrams four of the victor's amazing plays on that day, and is a great conversation piece (framed or unframed) for any college football fan:

Clutch Pass: At the game’s then most critical moment – a 3rd and 11, down 24-21 with 11:25 left in the 3rd quarter – the less heralded quarterback from the second ranked team passed his second huge throw of the night from his own 33-yard line, connecting to his teammate at the 20 yard line for a 38 yard gain that led to a game tying field goal.

Tie-breaker - A Hero is Born: At 9:45 in the 4th quarter, the less heralded quarterback from the second ranked team passed his third “greatest” pass of the game, this time on 2nd and 11 from his own 41-yard line, hitting his tight end and unlikely hero, who caught the ball and scampered down the field for his second touchdown of the game- and it is worth noting- his second TD of the SEASON. Later, he would catch a short pass from his 23-yard line and take it 60 yards, and would end the night with 5 catches for 205 yards.

95 Yard Return: At 7:31 left in the 4th quarter, the world witnessed this truly amazing 95-yard kickoff return, as the returner took the ball at the 5-yard line; stoked his way past several defenders going from right to left across the field; turned on his after-burners to break past the defense, and while running out of steam, barely kept his left foot inbounds as he dove with body and arms in mid-air inside the pylon – just barely.

Surprise Onside Kick:The Alabama kicking team (its cold-blooded kicker fresh off a tie-scoring field goal) and beguiling coaching staff would contribute again with this well-timed, perfectly executed, surprise onside kick with 4:26 left. As a result, they would retain possession, breaking the 24-24 tie less than a minute later on a 51-yard pass play.
