Statue of Liberty, Idaho Style (Boise State vs. Oklahoma)

Having just scored a touchdown in overtime to pull within one (42-41) in this 2007 New Year’s Day game, the underdogs from Idaho lined up to attempt a two-point conversion - a risky proposition at best against the tough defense from Norman. The first year coach then dialed up his third trick play of the game. The QB pulled an empty-handed fake screen pass to his triple wide receivers to the right, allowing the running back to grab the ball hidden behind the QB’s back. He ran untouched into the left side of the end zone, completing the two-point conversion, and securing the victory. Playmaker: Matthew J.
